At their most recent meeting the Board of Directors appointed Committee Chairs and volunteers to the following Committees: Architectural Review Committee; the Landscape Committee; the Water Conservation Sub Committee; the CC&R Revision Committee; the Contract Review Committee; and the Budget & Finance Committee. The chairs and members are a valuable human resource and provide a tangible service to the MVEA community with landscape upgrades, water savings, architectural aesthetics, and a balanced budget. Many thanks to these volunteers!

Recently mailed to the Membership were the approved 2012 Budget and the miscellaneous required Annual Disclosures. The Davis-Sterling Act is the compiled body of laws in California that regulate Common Interest Developments (CIDs) such as MVEA. Certain documents are required to be mailed annually to the Association’s Membership among them are: the approved Annual Budget; the Association’s Collection Policy; the types of Insurance and the policy limits carried by the Association; the Reserve Study; and an Internal Dispute Resolution Policy.
Congratulations to the Board of Directors for adopting a budget that represents a 2% reduction in assessments! This is the second consecutive year the Board has been able to adopt a budget representing an assessment decrease to the Members. MVEA is on sound fiscal ground. The Association’s Reserve Funds hover at a $2,000,000 level and are used and replenished annually for Landscape Renovation projects, Irrigation System upgrades, and Asphalt Pathway renovation.
If a third party automatically pays your quarterly assessment, you will have to inform them of the new amount to be debited from your account. If you are on the ACH payment method that is available to owners, you do not have to do anything; the new reduced amount will automatically be “swept” from your account.
